Why this is 18B
Reloaded is an American Pale Ale in the SNPA line: Cascade, clean yeast, drinkable bitterness, a little body from a 155 mash. Compare the neighbors when the beer starts tasting like a blonde, an IPA, or a hazy.

- Overall
- A pale, refreshing, hoppy American ale. Moderate to strongly hop-forward without becoming an IPA; clean fermentation so the hops and malt stay readable.
- Aroma
- Moderate to strong hop aroma from American or New World hops — citrus, floral, pine, resinous, tropical, or stone fruit. Low to moderate clean malt. Low fruity esters optional. No diacetyl.
- Flavor
- Hop flavor mirrors the aroma, medium to high. Medium-low to medium malt — often a clean biscuit or light caramel backbone. Medium-low to medium bitterness; finish medium-dry to dry. Balance is toward hop, but malt should still be there.
- Mouthfeel
- Medium-light to medium body. Moderate to moderately-high carbonation. Smooth; not harsh or astringent.
- Comments
- The original American craft pale. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the historical reference. Not a hazy juice bomb and not an IPA — bitterness is present, body is modest, Cascade-family hops are classic.
